Yes but it’s not perfect. If you get hit by a strain fo the virus you’ve never had you go down. Vaccines will prevent to a certain extent a very problematic and changeable virus like HIV, and If you get that virus you need to take tons of preventive medicines…what if your body won’t tolerate all those medicines?
